I share a new recipe every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but yesterday was not my day. I've sprained my knee, so I couldn't publish this one. ? I'm sorry for the inconvenience! It's not a serious thing, so I'm here again to share with you my simple, healthy, vegan recipes, because it's really easy to be vegan and also to follow a healthy diet, you can do it too!
It's cold season and there are a few things you can do to boost your immune system, like eating healthy, exercise or taking an immune boosting ginger shot, which is a bomb because of its taste and the ingredients you need to make it. They're alcohol-free, super healthy and taste much better than alcoholic shots!
You just need a juicer (or a blender) and 4 ingredients (apple, lemons, ginger and turmeric) to make these easy peasy shots. They're perfect to prevent and treat colds or even the flu and they're also a great natural anti inflammatory remedy.
Cheers! To your health!
Tips:
- You can also use ground ginger and turmeric. Make the juice using only the apple and the lemons, pour it into a jar, add the ground ginger and turmeric and stir.
- There are other ingredients you can add like cayenne powder (which is great to get rid of mucus), other fruits or leafy greens.
- If you don't have a juicer, place all the ingredients in a blender, add some water and blend until smooth.

Hi I made this it was amazing. But a few things I’d like to know is when using a blender and using ginger powder and turmeric powder what are the measurements I’ll need?
Iosune Robles says
Hello, I haven't tried it myself so I'm not sure about the measurements. But, I think it will be enough with one teaspoon of each one 🙂 Have a nice day!
Karen says
If I can’t find turmeric root, can I sub ground turmeric? And how much should I add? Thx 🙏
Iosune Robles says
Hello Karen!!! if you don´t find the root you can use ground turmeric instead. It is not as fresh but the flavor does not change a lot. My advice is to add spoon by spoon and to try the flavor till you get the result ! Have a great day!
Iris says
Hello, this looks so tasty! Can I keep the leftover liquid in the fridge, and if so, does it keep its benefits after the fridge?
Thank you.
Iosune says
Hi Iris! Thanks a lot 🙂 Yes, you can keep it for up to 72 hours 🙂
Annie says
I actually just read that it depends on the type of juicer you use. The nutritional value can last from 24 hours to 4-5 days.
Iosune says
Hi Annie! Thanks a lot for your comment 🙂
Vernessa Richard says
Hi. I have ground ginger and ground turmeric. Exactly how many tsp do I use of both equivalent to the actual ginger and turmeric root?
😊 Thank you
Iosune says
Hi Vernessa! I haven't tried it myself, so I can't tell you the amount, sorry! I would add it gently until it tastes good 🙂
Annie Tran says
How long this receipt can keep max in fridge !?tks
Jennifer says
I added about half a flat teaspoon of both the ground tumeric and cayenne pepper. Very spicy but lovely. If you don't want it to burn that much at the back of your throat, half the amount.
Iosune Robles says
Hi Jennifer, thanks for your comment 🙂 Have a nice day!

Tanya says
Hi do you squeeze the lemons or put the whole lemon in Peel and all?
Iosune says
Hi Tanya! I put the whole lemon, but I peel it first 🙂
Karen says
How often do you take this Immune shot?
Iosune says
Hi Karen! It depends on the time of the year and my immune system, but you can take it as often as you want 🙂
Belle says
Can you substitute raw pressed apple juice for the apple? My blender doesn’t liquify it enough if I use real apples.
Iosune says
Hi Belle! I think it could work 🙂
Clara says
