This turmeric latte is a great healthy alternative to coffee. It's delicious, cozy, creamy, and made with 4 ingredients in 5 minutes!

Now that fall is finally here and the cool weather is slowly coming, I feel like having more warm and cozy drinks. And lately, I've been obsessed with turmeric latte! I promise it's the most comforting beverage ever and it tastes SO good!

In addition, this recipe only requires 4 ingredients and is ready in just 5 minutes, so you can make it even if you're in a rush. However, if you really want to enjoy an extra-creamy latte, I do suggest you use a milk frother to make it. You'll be blessed with such a foamy, comforting texture!

How to make a turmeric latte

  • Pour the plant milk into a saucepan and cook over high heat until it’s hot, but don’t bring it to a boil.
  • Remove from the heat, add all the remaining ingredients, and stir until well combined. I used a milk frother for the best creamy, foamy texture.
  • Serve your turmeric latte immediately.

Ingredients and tips

  • Unsweetened plant milk: I used almond milk because it's my favorite plant milk for this recipe.
  • Turmeric powder.
  • Ground cinnamon.
  • Maple or agave syrup: feel free to customize your turmeric latte recipe with any other type of sweetener.
  • You can serve this turmeric latte for breakfast with a couple of vegan peanut butter cookies to make it even cozier.

Turmeric latte benefits

Turmeric is a wonderful spice, so incorporating it into your diet can be a great idea. Among other turmeric latte benefits, you'll find that it can reduce inflammation, help with digestion, and lower cholesterol levels.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened plant milk, I used almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ยฝ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon maple or agave syrup
Prevent your screen from going dark

Instructions

  • Pour the plant milk into a saucepan and cook over high heat until it’s hot, but don’t bring it to a boil.
  • Remove from the heat, add all the remaining ingredients, and stir until well combined. I used a milk frother because I absolutely love a super creamy, foamy, and cozy latte, but that is optional. You can also blend the hot plant milk with the rest of the ingredients in a blender, but using a frother is easier, cleaner, and faster.
  • Serve your turmeric latte immediately. I love to have it for breakfast with a couple of vegan peanut butter cookies to make it even cozier.
  • Keep the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Reheat on the stovetop or the microwave until warm enough.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize your turmeric latte with pretty much any sweetener you like.
  • I used almond milk because it's my favorite plant milk for this turmeric latte recipe, but you can use other kinds of milk, such as cashew milk, soy milk, rice milk, oat milk, coconut milk, or even hemp milk.
  • If you use sweetened plant milk, omit the maple or agave syrup.
  • Turmeric is a wonderful spice, so incorporating it into your diet can be a great idea. Among other turmeric latte benefits, you'll find that it can reduce inflammation, help with digestion, and lower cholesterol levels.

I absolutely love this hot drink. I've tried it with cashew milk, almond milk, and regular 1% milk. Prefer the 1% regular milk, as the vegan milks don't make the quantity of frothy foam that I love.

Very good! I heated soy milk in microwave and then threw in my vitamix with the remaining ingredients and it got nice and frothy. Added a few turns of pepper to aid absorption of turmeric...couldn't taste the pepper so worth doing I think.

Very good for arthritis and gout. Traditional anti-inflammatories only target one inflammatory enzyme. On the other hand, turmeric has an impact on several inflammatory enzymes and pathways. In one trial, turmeric was discovered to be able to control 30 distinct molecular targets. beatgout.org/turmeric-gout/

I've been enjoying turmeric lattes from my local coffee shop... at up to $6 a pop. Yesterday I decided to see if I could find a recipe in the hopes of enjoying them at home. And voila!! All the deliciousness of the coffee shop version. I used my small milk frother right in the pot to incorporate the spices. Ended up with a mountain of foam, which I love.

Awesome. Been wanting to make this since I was diagnosed with RA. I bought fresh spice. Had not been a tumeric fan but the fresh spice was totally different from what I had bought at the super market. Used my oat milk and my Nespresso frother which was great for not only getting the spice mixed but for heating and frothing. I absolutely loved it! Will be drinking it every day and may try different milks. Thank you for this recipe. I have already shared it with friends.

I forgot to add I used a whisk because I donโ€™t have a Crothers and it worked perfectly to break up the cinnamon and turmeric and froth the drink.
